NAPA, YOLO, SISKYOU COUNTIES, Calif. (KIEM) – Firefighters are inching closer towards containment on two major Northern California blazes.
As of Friday night, the 90,288 acre County Fire is up to 97% containment, up from 95% Thursday night.
Despite the heat and winds, firefighters continue to progress, and about 450 firefighters remain on scene.
In Siskiyou County, the Klamathon Fire is up to 85% containment as of Friday night, up from 75% Thursday night.
Acreage estimation is also up about a 1,000 acres, to about 37,900.
Three people were injured, and one person killed in the Klamathon Fire.
