ARCATA, CA. – Arcata City Council clarifies their cannabis policies, and will allow recreational sales come the new year.
At their meeting Wednesday, staff adopted two ordinances to update local cannabis regulations, which will allow the city’s current cannabis regulatory program to include nonmedical activities, as authorized by the state.
Current medical dispensaries will be able to sell non-medical cannabis come January 1st, so long as their permits are in good standing.
Council has left room for rules to be adjusted as citywide zoning standards develop.
