EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, a new phone scammer is making calls around town. This particular caller is claiming to be “Sergeant Marshall” with the department, and asks residents to pay him for missing jury duty.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind residents they will never call you for payments. Here are some other handy tips:
