SIX RIVERS NATIONAL FOREST, CA. – It’s going to cost you more for maps of our local national forests.
Come Monday, prices of visitor maps for Northern California’s national forests including Six Rivers, Klamath, Mendocino, Shasta-Trinity, Modoc and Lassen, will increase by over 50%.
That’s only a five dollar jump, from $9 dollars to $14, but you still may want to pick yours up before the price change.
You can do so at ranger stations in Gasquet, Orleans, Willow Creek and Mad River, at the Supervisor’s Office at the Humboldt County Courthouse in Eureka, or online at www.nationalforestmapstore.com
The decision for the price change, which is the first increase in over decade, was made by the National Forest Service office in Washington, D.C. this October.
